Practice Manager (Fear Free Level 2 Certified)

Beth is our practice manager with a background as a client services coordinator, veterinary office manager and school teacher.  She is has assisted two hospitals becoming AAHA accredited.  Beth lives with her husband, a bearded collie, miniature poodle and a cat, and lots of tropical fish!

Lead Client Services Representative (Fear Free Level 1 Certified)

Lara, is often the first face you will see at Patterson Veterinary Hospital.  She is a long-term full-time employee who knows our clients/patients very well.  In addition, she has varied skills and experience, enabling her to work any area of the hospital when help is needed.  Outside of work, she loves playing softball, wiffleball, and kickball. She is an accomplished fisherman, holding multiple trophy citations. She loves spending time in Nags Head, NC with her family, 3 dogs and 3 cats.  She recently adopted a Llewelyn Setter named "Mac" who loves coming with her to work. 

Certified Veterinary Assistant (Fear Free Level 1 Certified)

Tammy has been in the veterinary field for over 30 years. She holds a associate's degree in business from Richard Bland College.  She enjoys both stand up paddle boarding and kayaking as well as traveling with her family. She loves animals and has many pets at home.  Tammy has been a part-time veterinary assistant with us for several years; skilled and compassionate in the care of your pets.

Client Services / Kennel Assistant (Fear Free Level 1 Certified)

Katie is another versatile member of our team.  She works as a client service representative and also a very conscientious kennel assistant.  She is currently in college and looks forward to a career in nursing. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her cats, running, hiking and working out.  Katie shows a great love for the pets in her care, and can often be seen outside keeping our canine boarders busy chasing a ball or engaged in other games/activities.

Certified Veterinary Assistant (Fear Free Level 1 Certified)

Manuela started with us in 2018 as a kennel assistant while she worked on her veterinary assistant certification program.  She soon started working as a client service representative as well and then as a veterinary assistant.  Manuela is now skilled and experienced in all areas of the hospital and in the future plans to become a licensed veterinary technician.    Outside of working full-time, Manuela likes to travel and spend time with her two pit bulls, Zeus and Sargeant!

Pet Stylist / Groomer

Grace is our full-time pet stylist, here to take care of all your dog and/or cat's grooming needs.  She is experienced in standard breed grooming (with a soft spot for poodles) but can also make your mixed breed friends look and feel great!  Grace also assists at the front desk, particularly in the morning when pets are being dropped off so she can answer any questions you have and discuss how you would like your dog/cat groomed.  When Grace is not working, she enjoys time at the river or beach.  Grace is adding more grooming services in the coming months including spa packages and relaxing hydro-massages.  Call for an appointment or schedule a time for you and your fur friend to meet Grace!

Kennel Assistant

Jaden has been a part-time kennel assistant with us since Spring, 2019.   She graduated from Midlothian Hisgh School in June.  She will soon be attending Averett University as an Animal Sciences major.  Her long term goal is to become a veterinary technician.  Jaden is a dedicated kennel assistant and is also helping at the front desk.  Outside of work, she enjoys pet sitting, helping with horses at a friend's barn, and spending time with her family and dog named Gulliver.

Kennel Assistant

Margaret joined us in 2019 as a kennel assistant.  She works full-time taking care of our daycare dogs and overnight boarders.    Outside of work, as an accomplished equestrian, she enjoys riding, competing and caring for her horses.  Margaret looks forward to furthering her education and training in the veterinary field.

Veterinary Technician

Nikki recently moved from South Carolina where she worked as a veterinary technician.  We are very fortunate to have her as a member of our full-time staff, supporting and assisting our doctors in treatment/surgery.  Outside of work, Nikki enjoys spending time with her family and quite a few furry friends as well!

Client Services Representative (Fear Free Level 1 Certified)

Renee is a dedicated client services representative who joined us in early 2019.  She came to us with many years of experience working for a veterinarian.  Renee' helps our clients check in and out at appointments and can assist with your orders from our on-line pharmacy.  Outside of work, Renee' enjoys spending time with her family as well as many pets in her home including a big sweet Saint Bernard named Bully!

Client Services Representative and Kennel Assistant

Rory is a valuable part-time employee who wears many hats at work!   She is often at the front desk assisting our clients but also takes excellent care of our boarding pets.  Most recently, she has been training as a veterinary assistant as well.   She is one of the growing number of staff who have skills in all areas of the hospital.  Outside of work, Rory enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs.

Kennel Assistant

Ana is a part-time kennel assistant, caring for our daycare and overnight boarders.  She enjoys working with all kinds of animals and has spent time working with feral cats, helping them with socialization and trust.  She shares her life with dogs and cats at home.  Ana is currently attending college with a focus on business and animal welfare.
